Nine Squared

When you’re friends with the owners, you know you’re in for a tough job.
Nine Squared is more than a café. It shifts with the day - quiet in the mornings, a bit more lively as things roll into the evening.
The identity follows that rhythm. Built on a minimal foundation, it focuses on clarity and intention. Nothing feels overdone, just small, considered details that reflect the space - the coffee, the conversations, everything in between.
The system is designed to flex. Calm and restrained during the day, then opening up slightly as the space moves into events and evenings.
It was important that it didn’t feel like two different places. More like one that adapts.
Fun fact we’ve spent approx £444.24 on coffee since they’ve opened their doors! Ouch!
